Other requirements are:
- Skilled in Instructional Design
- Be able to supervise work of an "offshore" partner
- Communicate with clients.
To be qualified for this job, the company requests that the applicant:
- Have a Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design (Masters preferred)
- 3-5 years experience in the field; especially with e-learning projects
- Have experience with Storyboard
- Be able to work with distributed team.
Although I think this job sounds very interesting, especially with the challenge of working with different people in different time zones, I do not think I would apply for it. When I went into education nineteen years ago, it was because I thoroughly enjoy working with children. Since that hasn't changed yet, I believe I would apply for a job that keeps me in the school setting.

This position looks interesting, but very challenging.
I liked the description of this position. It sounds like a great consulting job to move into after working several years in a school setting - maybe something to consider after retiring from the state.
I wonder why they didn't require a foreign language? It would seem to be a needed skill.
I have noticed that many of the postings require the applicant to work with a team. I guess the push to teach our students to be cooperative learners and team players is definately right on track.
I have also seen the requirements of being able to work in a group. I try to have assignments where my fourth graders work in cooperative groups. I tell them each year that when they grow up they may be required to work with a group a people. I tell them that they may not like the people that they work with but they have to respect them. It is amazing to see the different personalities that shine through during group work.
I agree with you. I love working with the students directly. After this degree, I will probably continue teaching in the classroom for many years :)
